Bridgewater Township
Bridgewater Township is a beautiful suburb serving as a regional commercial hub for Central New Jersey. Located about 32 miles from Manhattan, Bridgewater offers plenty of commuting options including easy access to all major highways. As a commercial hub, you need not travel far for services and fabulous dining and shopping options, including the Bridgewater Commons Mall, Central Jersey’s premier shopping center with over 150 stores and restaurants.
Many people are drawn to Bridgewater for its successful affordable housing program, which supports the development of various housing types, including single- and multi-family homes, apartments, townhomes, condos, and luxury homes. The most desired Bridgewater neighborhoods (and therefore pricier) tend to be to the East, while more affordable homes are in the southwest regions.
For outdoor and gardening enthusiasts, Duke Island Park will not disappoint. This 343-acre park provides access to the Loop and trails, which are part of the Raritan River Greenway, connecting southwestern Bridgewater with Raritan center and Hillsborough Township. You will also find 18 other township parks and three county parks, including a county athletic complex in Bridgewater.
