Morris Township

Considered one of the more affluent areas in Morris County, Morris Township is a wonderful community with many different neighborhoods surrounded by mountains, hills, and parks with hiking trails. Although the township itself does not have a main “downtown,” nearby Morristown and its close proximity to other towns offers easy access to all shopping needs, outstanding healthcare, museums, entertainment venues, and a load of restaurant options.

Convent station is a popular area of Morris Township and is where you’ll find the Morris Township Municipal Building and Police Headquarters, and of course the train station for easy commuting to New York City.

Swimming, tennis, golf, skating, horseback riding, hiking, biking, gardening, fishing – whatever your recreational pleasure – Morris Township has it all! There are two swimming and tennis facilities in the township: Streeter Pool and Tennis to the west and the Ginty Field complex to the east. Mennen Sports Arena offers three ice skating rinks. For nature and gardening enthusiasts, there’s Frelinghuysen Arboretum, Fosterfields Historic Farm, Loantaka Brook Preserve, Patriots Path, and the Seaton Hackney Stables, to name just some options.
