Tewksbury Township
Tewksbury Township is known for the historic district of Oldwick, settled in the 1740s. Surrounded by rolling farmland, and rambling, colorful Victorian homes, Oldwick is the epicenter of the township with the famed Tewksbury Inn, Oldwick General Store, and two beautiful churches. The township has been consistently one of the state’s highest-income communities. Based on data from the 2012–2016 American Community Survey (ACS), NJ.com ranked the township as having the fifth-highest income in the state. The hamlet of Mountainville is where you’ll find some of Hunterdon County’s largest estates in the bucolic setting of emerald rolling hills and the sparkling waters of Rockaway Creek and Lamington River.
